Introducing the Cultural Emergence empowerment & design deck

(The CEED Deck)

The deck shares thinking tools, design tools, connection tools, reflection tools.

There are 96 cards in the deck. Each card has beautiful artwork and wisdom for playful engagement and easy access. Regular use of the cards brings them more to life. They become part of our own culture and ripple out to a group culture around you.

While it is a great companion to my books, the deck is also accessible for those completely new to Cultural Emergence and permaculture.

The deck can be used by anyone, in groups and individually. The cards are a distillation of the Cultural Emergence toolkit. The toolkit has evolved from my work with permaculture in particular people and permaculture, and Jon Young's work with 8 Shields and deep nature connection.

Appreciations for the CEED Deck

I opened them an hour ago and have been sitting with them and exploring. I don’t have the words. Only my heart can express how they have made me feel. they are truly magical. I feel like this is the gift to the world that will help shift the vibrations. I can feel the rippling effects in my body and seeping into my cells as I type this.

I know I have said it before, but they are truly magical. I feel like this is the gift to the world that will help shift the vibrations. I can feel the rippling effects in my body and seeping into my cells as I type this.

Brilliant and insightful great to have in my hands!

What's in the Empowerment & Design Deck (The CEED Deck)

There are 96 cards in the CEED deck plus a booklet with guidance on how to use them.

In the CEED deck the  96 cards  are grouped into 6 families - the balance family, the connect family, the transform family, the design family, the embody family and the emerge family.

The deck has 6 different families of tools including the unique Cultural Emergence phases, practices and principles. The 6 families are Balance, Embody, Emerge, Transform, Design and Connect

  • The practices enable us to embody regenerative habits
  • The principles support effective decision making
  • The phases are a great tool for balancing our life

The card deck also includes 12 cards for the Design Web. This is a design framework that I created while writing  People and Permaculture, which has been used by thousands of people around the world. With the Design Web people have been designing for learning new skills and creating purposeful livelihoods, organizing themselves, enhancing health and well-being, improving relationships and group dynamics.

The 7 Ways to Think Differently cards (based on my second book) help to reveal cultural paradigms that are limiting us, and transform them into supportive mindsets.

The deck also includes the 8 Shields model developed by Jon Young for increasing our deep nature connection.

Who can use the empowerment & design deck (The CEED Deck)

Absolutely anyone can use this deck, including children.

This card deck is designed for anyone who wants healthy relationships, a regenerative group culture, needs support for decision making and seeks design tools for life.

The Cultural Emergence toolkit is already used by permaculture teachers and designers, facilitators, coaches, trainers, community groups, transition groups, parents, groups of friends, families and relationships to support the creation of healthy group cultures.
